SKY IS THE LIMIT has been certified to grant Presidential Service Awards for eligible volunteer service for SKY IS THE LIMIT directly or for the mission through the org, where eligible volunteer service is defined as “unpaid acts of service benefiting others.” We are excited to take part in this nationwide program to honor and recognize our most outstanding volunteers. ​

Over the past 20 years, the PVSA has been dedicated to recognizing the significant impact made by volunteers in communities all around the country.
“In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.” –The President’s Volunteer Service Award (presidentialserviceawards.gov)
Led by the AmeriCorps and managed in partnership with Points of Light, this program allows Certifying Organizations to recognize their most exceptional volunteers.
Eligibility

United States citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e., green card holder)

Must be at least eleven years old

Completes eligible service within a 12-month period (for annual Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards) and over a lifetime (for Lifetime Achievement Awards)
Hours
Eligible volunteer service does not include:

Hours as part of student/school club activities
-
Donating funds
-
Political lobbying (Non-partisan voter registration is an eligible activity)

Religious instruction
-
Conducting worship service
-
Proselytizing
-
Volunteer service performed as part of court-ordered community service
-
Serving only family members
-
Paid internships
Number of Hours
Hours are measured over a 12-month period and awards are designated based on cumulative hours. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of your service achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, gold and the highest honor, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime.
Award Levels
Gold: Children must contribute 100 hours or more of volunteering, young adults 250 hours or more. Also qualifies for $5000 scholarship through out scholarship program.

Silver: Children must contribute 75 to 99 hours of volunteering, young adults 175 to 249 hours. Also qualifies for $2000 scholarship through out scholarship program.

Bronze: Children must contribute 50 to 74 hours of volunteering, young adults 100 to 174 hours. Also qualifies for $1000 scholarship through out scholarship program.

Lifetime: In addition to the yearly awards, in which all volunteering hours must have taken place in the previous 12 months, the Council also established the President's Call to Service Award, a lifetime achievement award for those who are truly devoted to the cause of volunteering, that is presented to anyone who has dedicated 4,000 hours (the equivalent of two years of full time work) to volunteering over the course of their life. Also qualifies for full time employment and recommendation letter for college.
How we keep track
SKY IS THE LIMIT org keep tracks of the volunteer hours in following ways:

Submit completed tracking sheet and documentation to SKY IS THE LIMIT organization Daily , Weekly and Monthly email updates on assigned tasks by SKY IS THE LIMIT Org as agreed upon during the starting of the service.

Fair completion of the committed outreach or timeline or expectations set at the starting of the project.

Please attach additional documentation (e.g., photos, letters of appreciation) to support your volunteer hours.

We purchase the awards and medals from the government once you've completed the required hours and then ship them to you.
