Overview:

Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education technology. As a high school student, you'll have the unique opportunity to test and refine our AI-powered chatbot designed for educational quizzes and student assistance. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about technology, education, and making a real impact in the lives of students.

Responsibilities:

1. Market Research: Conduct research to understand pain points, and opportunities to enhance our product offering.

2. User Engagement: Develop strategies to increase user engagement with the AI platform among high school students. Utilize social media, student organizations, and other channels to promote the platform and gather user feedback.

3. Own SKY IS THE LIMIT Instagram account and a cadence of communication. 

4. Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance metrics, such as user engagement, quiz completion rates, and student satisfaction. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize the platform's performance.

Goals and Key Deliverables:

1. X number of students and Teachers registered in platform to engage in the Starlight AI platform as part of product research 

2. User Feedback Report: Compile comprehensive feedback from K-12 school students regarding their experience with the AI platform. Highlight key insights and recommendations for improvement.

3. Content Quality Assurance: Ensure that the quiz questions and chatbot responses meet high standards of accuracy, relevance, and educational value through continuous testing all features.

4. Engagement Strategy: Develop and implement a strategy to increase user engagement with the AI platform, resulting in a measurable increase in active users and interaction frequency. Improve user activation by X%. 

5. Performance Optimization: Work closely with the development team to address any technical issues or limitations identified during testing. Aim to enhance the platform's performance and user experience.

6. Promotional Campaign: Execute a promotional campaign to raise awareness of the AI platform among high school students. Track the campaign's effectiveness in driving user adoption and engagement.

Position Overview:

As a Product UX Designer Intern, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our AI-powered education software. You will work closely with our development team to design and test features aimed at improving student engagement, knowledge retention, and overall satisfaction with our platform. This internship offers a unique opportunity for a high school student to gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of UX design and contribute to the advancement of educational technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. User Research: Conduct research to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of our target users, including students and educators.

2. UX Design: Collaborate with the design and development teams to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for new features and enhancements.

3. Usability Testing: Plan and execute usability testing sessions to gather feedback on the user interface and identify areas for improvement.

4. Iterative Design: Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing results, and stakeholder input to continually enhance the user experience.

5. Accessibility: Ensure that the platform is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, by adhering to accessibility standards and guidelines.

6. Documentation: Create documentation and guidelines to support the implementation of UX design principles across the platform.

4. Accessible Design: Ensure that the platform is accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities or assistive technologies, by incorporating accessibility best practices into the design process.

5. Successful Product Launch: Contribute to the successful launch of new features and enhancements by delivering high-quality design assets and supporting documentation.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in high school

• Strong interest in UX design and user-centered design principles

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma (preferred but not required)

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Passion for education and improving learning experiences for students
